The red line is the famous (infamous?) hockey stick graph. Notice how it shoots up almost vertically in the late 20th century. It's a compelling argument for AGW (Anthropogenic (Human caused) Global Warming). This graph, devised by Dr. Michael Mann (http://climatedepot.com/a/2768/Mann-at-it-again-Very-erroneous-conclusions-Michael-Manns-newest-invention-The-Hurricane-Hockey-Stick), is based on a gigantic lie (http://wattsupwiththat.com/2009/09/27/quote-of-the-week-20-ding-dong-the-stick-is-dead/) that has been perpetuated in dozens of scientific (sic) studies. The data behind this graph was compiled by Professor Keith Briffa (http://www.cru.uea.ac.uk/cru/people/briffa/) of the Climate Research Unit in 2000. Since that time Professor Briffa has refused to archive the original data and make it available to the scientific community at large. When, however, McIntyre plotted in a much larger and more representative range of samples from exactly the same area, the results he got were startlingly different. Look at the graph again and notice the black line. This line represents reality. The famous hockey stick never existed unless you happen to cherry pick ten trees out of a much larger set of data to get the results that you desire. Conclusion? Man made global warming is a myth and nothing more than the politicization of natural climate fluctuations. MSNBC intentionally edited the video footage to make it impossible to see that the gun toting sociopath was in fact a black guy and not a white person showing up with a gun . No wonder that their ratings are in the tank.
